Hi everybody,

For english speaking visitors, we’ll summarize here the main point of the congress. We added the google translator at the top of all pages, it’s not the beautiest solution but it can help sometimes.

The Lyon Salsa Congress wil be held in Lyon, France from Sept. 2nd to Sept. 4th 2011.

One unique location for the whole event : workshops, parties, shows, bar, restaurant & accomodation for the night are located at the Hilton Hotel in the heart of the new business center of Lyon called cité internationale. The exact adresse is 70 Quai Charles de Gaulle, 69006 Lyon, France.

3 Parties with 2 dancing room (cuban & puerto rican). Top class DJs. World best dancers will performed around 11pm on friday, saturday and sunday.

More than 40 hours of workshops are proposed during the day (saturday and sunday) from 10am to 6pm. You will be able to learn from the best teachers and choregraphers of the salsa scene.

The last class of the day is an open air stretching class in the wonderful park : parc de la tête d’or near the Hilton. Nothing’s better than this to be fit for the crazy night !

In the Ticket area you can buy your tickets for the congress. The different tickets are :

  • Party Pass : friday, saturday and sunday parties including shows
  • Full Pass : friday, saturday and sunday parties including shows + saturday and sunday workshops from 10am to 6pm.
  • Then you have the hotel+full pass or hotel+party pass

Price are going up with the time so go for early bird prices. Passes will be available at the congress entrance but you cannot guarantee ticket stock. You can pay with your credit car or with paypal online, the server is secured, we use Mercanet BNPParibas online payment system.

Hotel rooms come in 3 configurations :

  • 1 bed
  • 1 big bed (for 2 persons)
  • 1 big bed (for 2 persons) and 1 added bed for a third person

Breakfast is included in the price for all people staying at the Hôtel.

To reach the Hotel (congress place) :

  • From the  A43, A46 and A6 motorways: follow the direction «périphérique»-«périphérique nord», take the exit porte de la Doua n°6a (if you miss it, exit at porte de St Clair) then, follow: «Cité internationale» (Tête d’Or) At «Cité Internationale» (brand new red buildings), take the entrance « P1 », the hotel is on your right side with a direct access wia the ramp leading to the main entrance. The parking valet will take care of your car .
  • From the A7 motorway: follow «Lyon centre», then, follow the  «Rhône» river bancks (successively called Quai: «Perrache»-«Dr Gailleton»-«Jules Courmont»-«Jean Moulin»-«André Lassagne» and «Cours d ’Herbouville») Then cross the «Winston Churchill» bridge on your right hand side, and then turn left at the end of the bridge, on «Quai Charles De Gaulle», «la Cité Internationale» is on your right side. Take the entrance « P1 », the hotel is on your right side with a direct access wia the ramp leading to the main entrance. The parking valet will take care of your car . The hotel has its own private parking.
  • From Lyon Saint Exupery Airport, you can also take a taxi which will take you to the hotel within 35 minutes.
  • From City Center: Take line 58 from Bellecour square, this bus reaches the hotel within 12 minutes.
  • From TGV Part Dieu train station: Line C1 reaches the Hilton Lyon hotel hotel in about 10 minutes.
  • Jean Mace station: Line 4 reaches the hotel within 20 minutes.
